I am drawn to ambiguous gaps — between door and frame, silence before a reply. Not absence, but where attention gathers.

The character 間 comes from light through a gate: interval, between. This chair makes that legible — intentional steps and gaps between seat, back, and leg where interpretation can rest, not sealed tight.

Bent plywood keeps discontinuity structural and visible: physical gap, room for meaning, loose sensitive contact. Prototypes and data shaped the backrest before it was joined to the other parts.
